A young girl and her parents travel from Chicago's Uptown neighborhood to see the Grant Park Orchestra. It s gonna be ee lec tric! Daddy says. The family rides the L train what mama calls everybody's taxi, on the Red Line to downtown Millennium Park. The girl is captivated by a man on the L platform playing the Blues, and also by the violin soloist on stage playing a concerto. On the train ride home, she falls asleep on her mama's lap and dreams of adding her own music to the City of the Big Shoulders.
