The local newspaper used the German language until 1929. The Leinenkugel brewery that we know of today had its origins in Sauk City. While the author's previous work on Joseph Schorer breweries only scratched the surface on Sauk City's four other breweries, this booklet covers all aspects of Sauk City brewing and distilling in great detail. Each brewery and the one distillery has its own timeline that highlights significant events in its history.
