Mike Lyga has fished for muskies since he was a young teenager in Wisconsin. In 1980, he and some friends undertook their first trip to Lake of the Woods, Ontario, a trip that became a yearly tradition. Over the years, fish were caught, lost, or seen, but most importantly many hours were spent on the water with friends. (Muskie) Tales From the Woods recalls many of the events that occurred during their time there, of both Muskie Tails and Muskie Tales, of encounters with other wildlife, and the many things learned over the years. Some details may be a little fuzzy after all these years, but everything discussed in the 57 short stories happened. And though the people involved with the events described are real, some names have been changed to protect the innocent -- and not so innocent!
